How to Make Tuna Kabobs

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates.
  2. In a resealable plastic bag, whisk together 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2 tablespoons rice vinegar, 1 tablespoon sesame oil, and 1 teaspoon wasabi paste.
  3. Add 1 pound sushi-grade tuna steaks, cut into 1-inch cubes, to the marinade. Seal the bag and marinate at room temperature for 10 minutes, or up to 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  4. Thread the marinated tuna cubes onto skewers. (If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes prior to grilling to prevent burning.)
  5. Grill the kabobs for 5-7 minutes per side, or until the tuna is cooked to your desired doneness (internal temperature of 145°F is recommended).
  6. Remove from grill and serve immediately. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions (optional).
