  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of cooking oil in an oven-safe skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Add 1 pound of round steak, cut into 2 serving-size pieces. Brown both sides for about 2-3 minutes per side.
