- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

How to Make Almond Roca Bars
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until mixture is smooth and slightly thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in evaporated milk and vanilla extract.
- Stir in toasted slivered almonds.
- Pour mixture into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and set.

- Melt chocolate chips in a double boiler or microwave. Spread melted chocolate evenly over the cooled toffee layer.
