How to Make Asian Turkey Lettuce Wraps
- Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add 1 pound of ground turkey and 1 tablespoon of minced ginger. Cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the turkey is no longer pink, breaking it up with a spoon.
- Add 2 cloves of minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in 1/4 cup of hoisin sauce and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- Add 1/2 cup of shredded carrots and 1/2 cup of chopped bell pepper (any color). Sauté for 2 minutes until slightly softened.
- Spoon the hot turkey mixture into large lettuce leaves (butter lettuce or romaine work well).
- Top with 1/4 cup of thinly sliced cucumber and 2 tablespoons of chopped scallions.
- Wrap the lettuce leaves around the filling and serve immediately.
