Ingredients for B B Cold Strawberry Soup

  • 16 ounces fresh strawberries
  • Heavy Cream
  • Cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Amaretto Liqueur

How to Make B B Cold Strawberry Soup

  1. Hull and roughly chop 16 ounces of fresh strawberries.
  2. Combine the chopped strawberries, 1/2 cup of sugar, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, 1/4 cup of vodka or other spirit (optional), and 1/2 cup of water in a blender.
  3. Blend until completely smooth.
  4. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove any seeds (optional).
  5. Pour the soup into a bowl or container and cover.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and the soup to chill thoroughly.
  7. Before serving, taste and adjust sweetness or tartness as desired. Add more sugar for sweetness or more lemon juice for tartness.
  8. Serve chilled in glasses or bowls, garnished with fresh strawberries, a sprig of mint, or a dollop of whipped cream (optional).

Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor

Small additions can make a big impact! Try a sprinkle of fresh herbs, a dash of your favorite spice blend, or a squeeze of citrus just before serving to really enhance the flavors of your dish.
