Ingredients for Bachelor Pasta

  • 1/2 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • Roma Tomatoes
  • Red Bell Pepper
  • Green Bell Pepper
  • Mushroom
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Cooked Spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 ounces Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • Cheese

How to Make Bachelor Pasta

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package directions. While pasta cooks, prepare the sauce.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  3. Add onion and bell pepper to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add mushrooms and garlic; cook for another 3 minutes, until fragrant.
  5. Stir in cherry tomatoes and basil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Drain the cooked spaghetti, reserving about 1/4 cup of pasta water.
  7. Add the spaghetti to the skillet with the vegetables. Toss to combine. If the sauce is too thick, add a little of the reserved pasta water.
  8. Divide the pasta and vegetables between two plates.
  9. Top each serving with crumbled Italian sausage and shredded Parmesan cheese.
  10. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor

Small additions can make a big impact! Try a sprinkle of fresh herbs, a dash of your favorite spice blend, or a squeeze of citrus just before serving to really enhance the flavors of your dish.
