Ingredients for Baked Ramen Noodles With Shrimp

  • Lime Juice
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • Garlic Cloves
  • Red Pepper Flakes
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced (reserve some for garnish)
  • 1 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 (3-ounce) packages ramen noodles, seasoning packets discarded

How to Make Baked Ramen Noodles With Shrimp

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, garlic powder, and ginger powder.
  3. Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the bowl and gently toss to coat. Marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  4. Break the ramen noodles into smaller pieces (about 2-inch lengths). Discard the seasoning packets.
  5. Divide the ramen noodles evenly among four large sheets of heavy-duty aluminum foil.
  6. Top each pile of noodles with one-fourth of the marinated shrimp.
  7. Sprinkle 1/12 cup of water over each pile of noodles and shrimp.
  8. Carefully fold the foil over to create sealed packets. Crimp the edges tightly to prevent leakage.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the shrimp is pink and cooked through and the noodles are tender.
  10. Carefully open the foil packets (steam will escape!). Pour the contents into individual bowls and garnish with the reserved green onion slices.

Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor

Want to unlock deeper, more complex flavors? Try toasting your whole spices before grinding them, or blooming ground spices in a little warm oil to enhance their aroma. Deglazing your pan with a bit of stock, wine, or even water after browning ingredients can capture those tasty caramelized bits, adding richness to your dish.
