Ingredients for Barbecued Lobster Tails

  • Salt Substitute
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • White Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 large lobster tails (about 6 ounces each)

How to Make Barbecued Lobster Tails

  1. Split the lobster tails lengthwise with a large knife, leaving the shells intact.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the marinade ingredients: 1/4 cup melted butter, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon paprika, 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional), salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Brush the meat side of each lobster tail generously with the marinade.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium heat (approximately 350°F).
  5. Place the lobster tails meat-side down on the preheated grill. Cook for 5-6 minutes.
  6. Flip the lobster tails and cook for another 5-6 minutes, basting frequently with the remaining marinade. Cook time may vary depending on the size of the lobster tails.
  7. Remove the lobster tails from the grill. They are done when the meat is opaque and firm to the touch.
  8. Serve immediately with drawn butter (1/2 cup butter, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, melted together) and wedges of fresh lemon.

Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor

Small additions can make a big impact! Try a sprinkle of fresh herbs, a dash of your favorite spice blend, or a squeeze of citrus just before serving to really enhance the flavors of your dish.
