Fall-apart tender BBQ beef sandwiches, slow-cooked to perfection! This family-favorite recipe, adapted from a cherished friend's recipe, is so delicious your family will be begging for more. The rich, smoky BBQ flavor is incredible on toasted sourdough rolls, and leftovers transform easily into a hearty beef stew. Serve with your favorite coleslaw (we love the Fanny Flagg recipe!). How to Make Bbq Beef Sandwiches

  1. In a large bowl, combine 3 lbs beef chuck roast, 1 large onion (chopped), 2 cloves garlic (minced), 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand), 1/2 cup beef broth, 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, 1 tsp smoked paprika, 1 tsp black pepper, and 1/2 tsp salt.
  2. Transfer the mixture to your slow cooker.
  3. Cook on high for 5 hours, or on low for 8-10 hours, until the beef is incredibly tender and easily shreds off the bone.
  4. Remove the beef from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Discard the bone.
  5. Return the shredded beef to the slow cooker. Stir in an additional 1/4 cup BBQ sauce, salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Cook for another 30 minutes on low to allow the flavors to meld.
  7. Serve the BBQ beef on toasted sourdough rolls. Top with your favorite coleslaw (we recommend the Fanny Flagg recipe!).
