How to Make Bbq Beef Sandwiches
- In a large bowl, combine 3 lbs beef chuck roast, 1 large onion (chopped), 2 cloves garlic (minced), 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand), 1/2 cup beef broth, 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, 1 tsp smoked paprika, 1 tsp black pepper, and 1/2 tsp salt.
- Transfer the mixture to your slow cooker.
- Cook on high for 5 hours, or on low for 8-10 hours, until the beef is incredibly tender and easily shreds off the bone.
- Remove the beef from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Discard the bone.
- Return the shredded beef to the slow cooker. Stir in an additional 1/4 cup BBQ sauce, salt and pepper to taste.
- Cook for another 30 minutes on low to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve the BBQ beef on toasted sourdough rolls. Top with your favorite coleslaw (we recommend the Fanny Flagg recipe!).
Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor
Small additions can make a big impact! Try a sprinkle of fresh herbs, a dash of your favorite spice blend, or a squeeze of citrus just before serving to really enhance the flavors of your dish.
