How to Make Chinese Sesame Salad

  1. Shred the cabbage and thinly slice the red onion. Combine in a large bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  2. In a medium skillet, toast the slivered almonds and sesame seeds in the butter over medium heat until lightly browned and fragrant. Stir frequently to prevent burning. Set aside to cool.
