How to Make Ham Cheese Ring

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine 2 cups chopped ham, 1/4 cup finely chopped onion, 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, and 2 tablespoons brandy. Let the mixture sit for 20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together 4 large eggs, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon paprika, 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, and 8 ounces of softened cottage cheese (or cream cheese).
  4. Gently fold the ham mixture into the egg mixture until well combined.
  5. Generously butter a 2-quart fluted ring mold (or similar baking mold). Pour the ham and egg mixture into the prepared mold.
  6. Place the mold in a larger roasting pan. Pour enough hot water into the roasting pan to come halfway up the sides of the mold (this creates a bain-marie for even cooking).
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the ring is set and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the ring cool in the mold for at least 15 minutes before carefully inverting it onto a serving platter.
  9. Cut into wedges and serve. Enjoy!
