  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • Lean Ground Beef
  • Jalapeno
  • Red Pepper
  • 24 ounces pasta sauce
  • 1/2 cup grated Romano cheese
  • 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 2 large eggs
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Spaghetti Squares

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook 1 pound spaghetti according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  3. Brown 1 pound ground beef in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Drain excess grease.
  4. Add 1 bell pepper (any color), chopped, and cook until tender, stirring occasionally (about 5 minutes).
  5. Stir in 24 ounces pasta sauce (your favorite kind!).
  6. Add 2 tablespoons jalapeno puree (or more, to taste).
  7. Toss cooked spaghetti with 1/2 cup grated Romano cheese, 2 tablespoons margarine, and 2 large eggs, until well combined. Season generously with salt and pepper.
  8. Grease a 13x9-inch baking pan.
  9. Layer half of the meat mixture in the prepared pan.
  10. Spread 15 ounces ricotta cheese evenly over the meat layer.
  11. Top with the remaining meat mixture.
  12. Finish with 8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese.
  13. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until heated through and bubbly.
