How to Make Apple Cinnamon Bread Raw Vegan
- Grind 1/2 cup of flax seeds into a fine meal using a blender or coffee grinder.
- Process 1 cup of raw almonds in a food processor until they resemble a fine meal.
- Add 1 cup of soaked raisins (soaked for at least 30 minutes) to the food processor. Add a tablespoon or two of the raisin soaking liquid if needed to help blend to a smooth paste.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground flax seeds, almond meal, and raisin paste. Add 2 medium grated apples (peeled and cored), 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1 tablespoon cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
- Mix all ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
- Divide the mixture into 3 equal portions. Shape each portion into a loaf approximately 4 inches wide, 8 inches long, and 1 inch thick.
- Place the loaves on dehydrator sheets. Dehydrate at 105°F (40°C) for 12-14 hours, or until the bread is firm and no longer sticky. Check frequently and rotate loaves as needed for even drying.
