- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup cold water

How to Make Apple Clafouti
- Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, salt, eggs, milk, and cold water until completely smooth. Adjust water if the batter is too thick.
- Gently fold in the sliced apples and sugar.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate the batter for at least 30 minutes, or preferably overnight for enhanced flavor.
- Place the melted butter (or oil) in a 9-inch deep pie plate.
- Place the pie plate in the preheated oven for 5 minutes to heat the fat.
- Carefully remove the hot pie plate from the oven.
- Quickly pour the batter into the hot pie plate.
- Immediately return the pie plate to the oven.
- Reduce oven temperature to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the clafouti is golden brown and set. A toothpick inserted into the center should come out clean.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature!
