How to Make Apple Pie
- Combine 2 lbs peeled and sliced apples, 1 cup granulated sugar, 1/2 cup apple cider, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg, and 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves in a large bowl.
- Gently stir to combine all ingredients.
- Transfer the mixture to a non-porous, dark-colored ceramic jug. Seal tightly with a cork or airtight lid.
- Place the jug in a cool, dark place for 30 days (approximately 43200 minutes).
- After 30 days, gently shake the mixture.
- Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh cheesecloth or coffee filter into a clean container, pressing on the solids to extract as much liquid as possible.
- (Optional) Stir in 1/2 cup Everclear for a stronger alcohol content.
- Serve chilled and enjoy responsibly.
