How to Make Apple Pineapple Salad
- In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and cold water until smooth. Set aside.
- Pour reserved pineapple juice into a saucepan. Add margarine and lemon juice.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until margarine is melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Gradually whisk in the cornstarch slurry, stirring constantly.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 2 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
