How to Make Asian Meatballs With Sesame Lime Dipping Sauce

  1. Preheat oven to 500°F (260°C). Position oven rack in the middle.
  2. In a large bowl, combine 1 cup bread crumbs with 1/2 cup milk. Stir until the liquid is absorbed.
  3. Add 1 pound ground pork and 1/2 pound ground veal (or 1.5 pounds ground beef), 1 large egg, 1/2 cup chopped water chestnuts, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, and 2 teaspoons sesame oil. Gently mix with your hands until just combined.
