How to Make Australian Tuna Bake

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease an 8x8-inch casserole dish.
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a sauté pan over medium heat.
  3. Sauté 1 medium onion, chopped, until softened but not browned (about 5 minutes).
  4. Stir in 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  5. Gradually whisk in 1 cup of milk, stirring continuously to prevent lumps.
  6. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
