- Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan with cooking spray or 1 tablespoon of butter.
- Coat 4 lbs of chicken pieces (thighs, breasts, or a combination) lightly and evenly with 1/2 cup all-purpose flour.
- Melt 4 tablespoons of butter in the prepared baking dish.
- Arrange the chicken in a single layer, skin-side down, in the melted butter.
- Bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
