How to Make Baked Ziti Meatless
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook 1 pound ziti pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine 2 (24-ounce) jars of your favorite marinara sauce, 1 (15-ounce) can of ricotta cheese, 1 teaspoon dried oregano, 1/2 teaspoon dried basil, 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked ziti to the sauce mixture and stir gently to combine.
- Pour the ziti mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and sprinkle 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese over the mozzarella.
- Continue baking for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly browned.
