How to Make Barbara S Meatloaf
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a 9x5x3 inch loaf pan with waxed paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
- In a large bowl, gently combine 2 lbs ground beef, 1 medium onion (finely chopped), and 1 cup rolled oats using your hands.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together 2 large eggs, ½ cup milk, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, 1 teaspoon dried savory leaves, and ¼ teaspoon black pepper.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the meat mixture and gently combine with your hands. Do not overmix.
- Pat the mixture firmly into the prepared loaf pan.

- Invert the loaf into an ungreased 13x9x2 inch baking pan. Carefully peel away the waxed paper.
- Bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix ¼ cup chili sauce and 1 tablespoon brown sugar.
