Ingredients for Belly Buster Muffin Sandwich

  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • Butter
  • 2 ounces thinly sliced ham
  • American Cheese
  • 1 English muffin, split
  • Tomatoes
  • 1/4 small onion, thinly sliced
  • Iceberg Lettuce
  • Mayonnaise
  • Salt And Pepper

How to Make Belly Buster Muffin Sandwich

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together 1 large egg and 2 tablespoons of milk.
  2. In a large, nonstick skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter or margarine over medium heat.
  3. Add 2 ounces of thinly sliced ham to one side of the skillet. Pour the egg mixture into the other side of the skillet, keeping the egg and ham separate.
  4. Cook the egg until set, flipping the ham every 2-3 minutes. Cook the ham until heated through and slightly crispy.
  5. Place a slice of cheddar cheese (1 ounce) on top of the cooked egg. Turn off the heat and cover the skillet to allow the cheese to melt.
  6. Lightly toast the English muffin halves.
  7. Place the cooked egg onto one half of the toasted English muffin.
  8. Top the egg with the cooked ham.
  9. Add 1-2 slices of tomato, 1/4 of a small onion (thinly sliced), and 2-3 leaves of lettuce.
  10. Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise or your favorite salad dressing on the other half of the muffin.
  11. Top with the other half of the muffin to create a sandwich.
  12. Enjoy your Belly Buster Muffin Sandwich!

Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor

Want to unlock deeper, more complex flavors? Try toasting your whole spices before grinding them, or blooming ground spices in a little warm oil to enhance their aroma. Deglazing your pan with a bit of stock, wine, or even water after browning ingredients can capture those tasty caramelized bits, adding richness to your dish.
