How to Make Czech Style Farmer Cheese Bacon Noodle Bake
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook 8 oz egg noodles according to package directions. Drain in a colander, rinse with cold water, drain again, and toss with 1 tablespoon olive oil.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked noodles with the farmer cheese mixture (see below).
- In a separate bowl, thoroughly combine 16 oz farmer cheese, 1/3 cup sour cream, 1 teaspoon caraway seeds, salt, and pepper to taste. Pass the farmer cheese through a fine-mesh sieve for a smoother texture (optional).
- In a skillet, cook 4 slices diced bacon and 1/2 medium diced onion until the bacon is crispy. Drain off excess grease.

- Pour the noodle mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together 2/3 cup sour cream and 2 large eggs.
- Pour the egg and sour cream mixture evenly over the noodle mixture in the baking dish.
- Lightly dust the top with paprika.
- Bake for approximately 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the mixture is heated through. Use a knife inserted into the center to check for doneness.
