How to Make Pork Shirataki
- In a medium bowl, whisk together 1 lb pork (sliced thinly), 2 tbsp hoisin sauce, 1 tbsp sesame oil, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp grated ginger, 1 clove minced garlic, 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional), and 1/4 cup chopped green onions.
- Marinate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight in the refrigerator, tossing occasionally.
- Heat 1 tbsp sesame oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Remove pork from marinade (reserve marinade), shaking off excess. Stir-fry the pork until cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- In a small bowl, whisk 1 tbsp cornstarch into the reserved marinade until smooth.
- Add 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers and 1/2 cup sliced onions to the wok. Stir-fry for 2 minutes until slightly softened.
- Add the shirataki noodles (2 7oz packages, rinsed and drained) and the cornstarch-marinade mixture to the wok. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, until the sauce has thickened (about 1-2 minutes).
- Serve immediately and garnish with extra green onions, if desired.
