Ingredients for Sazon Rice

  • Basmati Rice
  • 1 ¾ cups water or low-sodium chicken broth
  • Stuffed Green Olive
  • Brine
  • Garbanzo Beans
  • Potato
  • Olive Oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Pepper
  • Sazon Goya

How to Make Sazon Rice

  1. Rinse 1 cup of long-grain white rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed rice, 1 ¾ cups of water or low-sodium chicken broth, 1 teaspoon of dry Sazón seasoning (or 1 tablespoon of your favorite Mexican seasoning blend plus a pinch of annatto for color), and ½ teaspoon salt.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
  4. Once boiling, reduce heat to low, cover the saucepan tightly, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until all the liquid is absorbed and the rice is tender.
  5. Remove from heat and let the rice stand, covered, for 5-10 minutes to allow the steam to finish cooking the rice.
  6. Fluff the rice gently with a fork before serving. Enjoy!

Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor

Small additions can make a big impact! Try a sprinkle of fresh herbs, a dash of your favorite spice blend, or a squeeze of citrus just before serving to really enhance the flavors of your dish.
