- Tilapia Fillets
- Alfredo Sauce
- 1 pound peeled and deveined shrimp
- Creole seasoning (to taste)
- Sweet Red Pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter (for peppers) and 3 tablespoons butter (for shrimp)
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- Romano Cheese
How to Make Alfredo Shrimp Tilapia
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Wash and dry 4 tilapia fillets (6-8 oz each). Drizzle with 1 tablespoon olive oil and season generously with Creole seasoning.
- Place fillets in a well-oiled baking dish. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
- While the fish is baking, sauté 1/2 cup of thinly sliced red bell pepper in 1 tablespoon butter over medium heat for 5 minutes, or until tender-crisp.
- Warm 1 cup of Alfredo sauce in a small saucepan over low heat.
- In a separate skillet, melt 3 tablespoons butter over medium heat. Add 2 cloves of minced garlic and 1 pound of peeled and deveined shrimp. Sauté for 5 minutes, or until pink and cooked through.
- Remove the tilapia from the oven.
- Divide the cooked tilapia fillets evenly among four plates (one fillet per plate).
- Top each fillet with 1/4 of the sautéed red peppers and 1/4 of the cooked shrimp.
- Spoon 1/4 cup of warmed Alfredo sauce over each serving.
- Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of grated Parmesan cheese and a light dusting of additional Creole seasoning.
- Optional: Broil for 1 minute to lightly brown the cheese.
Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor
Chef's secret: layers of flavor make a dish truly memorable! Consider what a little extra something could bring – perhaps a touch of acidity like a good vinegar or citrus zest, a hint of smokiness from paprika, a bit of umami from mushrooms or soy sauce, or a sprinkle of toasted nuts for texture. Experiment and taste as you go!
