How to Make Aromatic Turkey Curry

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large pan or Dutch oven over medium heat.
  2. Add 1 large chopped onion and 2 cloves minced garlic. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in 1 inch piece of grated ginger, 1 teaspoon ground cumin, 1 teaspoon ground coriander, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric, 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional), and 1/2 teaspoon garam masala. Fry for 1 minute more, stirring constantly, until fragrant.
