How to Make Thick And Creamy Chili

  1. Brown 1 lb of ground beef (or turkey) and 1 large chopped onion in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  2. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour over the meat and onion mixture. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  3. Stir in 28 oz can of crushed tomatoes, 15 oz can of tomato soup, 8 oz can of drained sliced mushrooms, and 15 oz can of rinsed and drained kidney beans. Add 2 cups of beef broth.
  4. Add 1 tbsp chili powder, 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp oregano, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
  5. Bring the chili to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. The longer it simmers, the richer the flavor will be!
