How to Make 7 Layered Salad
- In a 9x13 inch baking dish, layer the ingredients in the following order: 1 (15 ounce) can of drained kidney beans, 1 cup of cooked elbow macaroni, 1 cup of shredded carrots, 1 (10 ounce) can of condensed cream of mushroom soup, 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, 1/2 cup of chopped green onions, and 1 cup of sliced black olives.
- In a small bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup of mayonnaise and 1/4 cup of granulated sugar until smooth.
- Spread the mayonnaise mixture evenly over the top of the salad.
- Sprinkle 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the mayonnaise layer.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
