How to Make Baked Beans Pennsylvania Style
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, brown 1 lb ground beef, 4 slices bacon (chopped), and 1 medium onion (chopped) over medium-high heat. Drain excess grease.
- Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture with 1 (15-ounce) can kidney beans (drained and rinsed), 1 (15-ounce) can navy beans (drained and rinsed), 1 (15-ounce) can pinto beans (drained and rinsed), 1 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup molasses, 1/4 cup ketchup, 2 tablespoons yellow mustard, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. Stir until well combined.
- Pour the bean and meat mixture into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake uncovered at 350°F (175°C) for 75 minutes, or until heated through and bubbly. If desired, broil for the last 2-3 minutes to brown the top.
