  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Place a 3-4 lb beef roast in a roasting pan. Add 1 tbsp olive oil, 4 cloves minced garlic, 1 cup water, 1 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp black pepper.
