  • 95% Lean Ground Beef
  • Lean Bacon
  • 1/2 medium onion (finely chopped)
  • Garlic Cloves
  • White Wine

  • Red Chili Pepper Flakes
  • 1/2 tsp mixed spice
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • Salt And Pepper
  • Frozen Spinach

  • 2 large eggs
  • 2% Low Fat Milk
  • Parmesan Cheese

How to Make Beef And Spinach Pasta Bake

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. In a large skillet, cook 200g beef mince, 50g diced bacon, 1/2 medium onion (finely chopped), and 2 cloves garlic (minced) over medium heat until the meat is browned and the onion is softened.
  3. Add 100ml red wine, 400g canned chopped tomatoes (with their juice), 1 tbsp fresh basil (chopped), 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes, 1/2 tsp mixed spice, and 1 tsp brown sugar to the skillet.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add 100g fresh spinach and cook for 2-3 minutes, until wilted. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir in 250g cooked pasta (any short shape).
