How to Make Bistro Shrimp Pasta
- Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- While pasta cooks, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-5 minutes per side.
- Add garlic to the skillet and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in white wine and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Add heavy cream, parmesan cheese, lemon juice, and salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until sauce slightly thickens.
- Add cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat. Add reserved pasta water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached.
- Stir in chopped fresh parsley and red pepper flakes (optional).
- Serve immediately, garnished with extra parmesan cheese and a sprinkle of parsley.
