  • 1 medium acorn squash (about 2 pounds)
  • Ground Turkey
  • Mcintosh Apple
  • Dried Breadcrumbs
  • Egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Acorn Squash With Apple Turkey Stuffing

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Wash and dry the acorn squash. Remove the stem and trim the bottom to create a flat surface.
  3. Cut the acorn squash in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds and stringy pulp.
  4. Prick the inside flesh of each squash half all over with a fork.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the stuffing ingredients (see below) and mix thoroughly.
  6. Fill each squash half generously with the stuffing mixture, mounding slightly.
  7. Place the stuffed squash halves in a baking dish. Add 1/2 inch of water to the bottom of the dish.
