How to Make Bea S Italian Style Spaghetti Sauce

  1. Brown 1 lb of ground beef (or Italian sausage) with 2 large chopped onions and 4 minced garlic cloves in a large, oven-safe pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Break up the meat as it cooks.

  3. Stir in 4 - 680ml cans (2720ml total) Unico brand tomato sauce, 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes, 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce, 2 teaspoons dried oregano, 1 teaspoon dried basil, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon black pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional). Mix well to combine.

  5. Reduce oven temperature to 275°F (135°C) and cook for an additional 2 hours, or until the sauce has thickened to your desired consistency. Stir occasionally.
