How to Make Pork And Pear Stir Fry

  1. In a bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon rice vinegar, 1 tablespoon honey, 1 teaspoon sesame oil, 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger, and 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes.
  2. Set aside.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add 1 bell pepper (yellow), thinly sliced, and 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger. Stir-fry for 2 minutes.
  4. Add 2 ripe pears, cored and thinly sliced.
  5. Stir-fry for 1 minute, or until the pepper is crisp-tender.
  6. Remove the pear and pepper mixture from the skillet and set aside.
  7. Add 1 tablespoon vegetable oil to the skillet. Add 1 pound pork tenderloin, cut into thin strips. Stir-fry in batches for 1-2 minutes per batch, until browned.
  8. Return the pear mixture and all of the pork to the skillet.
  9. Add 1/2 cup water chestnuts, drained and sliced, and the reserved sauce.
  10. Bring to a boil.
  11. Reduce heat and simmer for 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
  12. Stir in 1/2 cup frozen peas and cook until heated through.
  13. Garnish with 1/4 cup slivered almonds before serving. Serve over rice or noodles.
