  3. Add 1 medium chopped onion to the bacon grease and sauté until translucent (about 5 minutes).

In a large bowl, combine: 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans (drained and rinsed), 1 (15 ounce) can pinto beans (drained and rinsed), 1 (15 ounce) can butter beans (drained and rinsed), 1 cup cooked brown rice, 1/2 cup bourbon, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup ketchup, 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard, 1 teaspoon smoked paprika, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
